Sociology
SOCIOLOGY: HUMAN BEHAVIOUR & SOCIETY
Sociology at Macademia introduces young people aged 12+ to understanding people, culture, identity, and how society works. Students explore topics such as relationships, media, inequality, and social change while developing critical thinking, discussion, and analytical skills.
The course is structured into four standalone modules, each running as a 6-week block (2-hour sessions). Modules can be taken in sequence or alongside other subjects, allowing a flexible and personalised learning journey.
Through real-world topics, debates, and case studies, students explore how society shapes our lives and how individuals can influence change. The course supports GCSE and A-Level Sociology while helping students build confidence in analysis, discussion, and written communication.
