HEALTH & MEDICINE
Health and Medicine at Macademia introduces young people aged 12+ to the science of the human body and the world of healthcare. Students explore body systems, disease, patient care, and medical innovation while developing knowledge, empathy, and critical thinking.
The course is structured into six standalone modules, each running as a 6-week block (2-hour sessions). Modules can be taken in sequence or mixed with other subjects, allowing a flexible learning journey.
Through practical activities and real-world case studies, students gain insight into medical practice and healthcare systems, building skills that support GCSE and A-Level studies. The course also helps students develop strong portfolio work and prepares them for future pathways and careers in medicine and related fields.
