Creative Writing
Creative Writing
Creative Writing introduces young people to the world of storytelling, imagination and self-expression in a fun, supportive and engaging environment. The programme is made up of stand-alone modules meaning that students can join at any time without needing to attend previous modules.
Each 2-hour session is clearly structured around a focused creative theme, combining tutor guidance with practical, hands-on writing activities. Students are supported to develop their ideas step by step, learning how to organise their thoughts, build confidence in their writing, and strengthen key skills in storytelling and communication within a calm, supportive learning environment.
Across the programme, learners explore how language can be used to create emotion, imagery, character and narrative. They are encouraged to experiment with different styles and techniques, develop their own writing voice, and produce original pieces of work that reflect their ideas and creativity. The course is designed to support both enjoyment and progression, helping young people grow in confidence as writers.
