Architectural Model Making
ARCHITECTURAL MODEL MAKING
Architectural Model Making at Macademia introduces young people aged 12+ to the craft and technical skill of creating physical models used in architecture. Students explore how ideas are translated into 3D form while developing precision, creativity, and problem-solving through hands- on making.
The course is structured into six standalone modules, each running as a 6-week block (2-hour sessions). Modules can be taken in sequence or mixed with other subjects, allowing a flexible learning journey.
Through practical projects, students design and build a range of architectural models, learning key techniques, materials, and presentation skills. The course supports GCSE and A-Level studies while helping students create strong portfolio pieces and prepare for further study in architecture and design.
