My daughter who is 14 just loves it here. She feels safe and confident to let her ideas flow. So far she has tried: Architecture, Engineering and Street art. We are looking at Sociology next. The team are fantastic with a real passion for teaching, the materials used are really good quality too. Recommend.Posted on Google![]()

Great experience at Macademia" My daughter really enjoyed her time at the Sherwood studio. The project-based approach at Macademia is a refreshing change from a standard classroom. The environment is professional but relaxed, and the tutors do a great job of integrating practical skills without it feeling forced. It’s been a significant boost for her confidence and interest in design. Highly recommend for any parent looking for a more creative, studio-style learning setup."Posted on Google![]()

We’ve had such a positive experience with Macademia. It’s genuinely “not like school” — the environment is calm, supportive, and really engaging for the children. The sessions are hands-on and creative, and you can see the difference in confidence and focus almost straight away. My child comes home excited about what they’ve done and proud of their work, which is something we haven’t seen before. The tutors are fantastic — friendly, knowledgeable, and they really take the time to understand each child. It feels like a place where children are encouraged to think, create, and grow at their own pace. I’d highly recommend Macademia to any parent looking for something different that actually works.Posted on Google![]()

Working as a tutor at Macademia has been an incredibly rewarding experience. It’s such a refreshing environment to teach in — calm, supportive, and genuinely focused on helping young people grow in confidence and ability. What really stands out is the “not like school” approach. Sessions are hands-on, creative, and purposeful, which means students are engaged and actually enjoy learning. You can see the difference it makes — they take pride in their work and develop real skills, not just tick boxes. The team is fantastic to work with — friendly, professional, and really passionate about what they’re building. There’s a strong sense of collaboration, and tutors are trusted to bring their own ideas into sessions, which makes it enjoyable as well as fulfilling. It’s rare to find a place that balances structure with creativity so well. If you’re looking for a meaningful teaching environment where you can genuinely make an impact, Macademia is a brilliant place to be.Posted on Google![]()

My two boys (10 and 13) have both been attending Macademia and it’s been such a positive experience for them. It’s completely different to school — calm, engaging and really well structured without any pressure. They’ve loved the hands-on sessions and being able to explore different subjects in a practical way. It’s been great to see their confidence grow, especially in areas they wouldn’t usually get to try. The tutors are fantastic and really supportive, and the small group setting makes a huge difference. Both of them genuinely look forward to going each week, which says everything. I’d definitely recommend Macademia to other parents.Posted on Google![]()

We’ve had such a positive experience with Macademia. The whole environment is calm, supportive and genuinely focused on helping young people build confidence and real skills — it’s nothing like a typical classroom. The tutors are fantastic and really take the time to get to know each child, which makes such a difference. You can tell they genuinely care about what they do. What I love most is how practical everything is. The sessions are hands-on and give real insight into different subjects and career paths, which is so valuable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Macademia to anyone looking for something a bit different and more meaningful for their child.
